Earl was KIA when the Japanese Bombed and Strafed Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941, he is honored with a Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Expeditionary Medal, Distinguished Unit Citation, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, WW II Victory Medal.

 

Earl is buried/mentioned at Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu County, Hawaii U.S.A.
