Bataan Death March

Alvin S. Abbott became a POW(April 9, 1942) an walked (60 miles) the Bataan Death March (70.000 pows), Many walked this march and many died (aprox.600, lack of nutrition and water) to Prison Camps in Bataan and died on April 30, 1942.

Alvin is born in 1915 in Connecticut.

Mother, Olive (Spaulding) Abbott.

 Alvin enlisted the service in Nebraska with serial # 0-338639.

Alvin died of No Record, after the Bataan Death March on April 30, 1942, Captain Alvin Abbott is honored with a  POW Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

Alvin is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial  Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
