The Imperial Japanese began their Invasion in the Philippines on 8 Dec 1941.

The 14th Engineer Regiment resorted to fighting together among American and Filipino forces when compelled to surrender on 9 Apr 1942.

Pfc Alipio Acosta became a POW and was imprisoned at Pow Camp no record, he survived the Bataan Death March, but died shortly after it.

 

 Alipio is born in the Philippines.

Alipio  enlisted the U.S.Army in Philippines with service number # 6610377.

 

Alipio died on as a POW in Camp no Record on  May 3, 1942.  is honored with a  POW Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

 

Alipio is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial  Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
