The Imperial Japanese began their Invasion in the Philippines on 8 Dec 1941.

The 24th FA resorted to fighting as Infantry and was among American and Filipino forces when compelled to surrender on 9 Apr 1942.

Private Aquilino B. Abriam became a POW and was imprisoned at Pow Camp O,Donnel, He survived the Bataan Death March, but died shortly after it.

 

Aquilino is born in the Philippines.

Aquilino enlisted the U.S.Army in Philippines with service number # 10305368.

 

Aquilino died as a POW in Camp O ‘Donell on April 28, 1942, Private Aquilini B. Abriam is honored with a POW Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

 

Aquilino is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial  Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
