Earl enlisted the service in Missouri with service number # 8658262.

 

 

Earl was KIA when the ship was Sunk by the Japanese Sub. I-175 near Butaritari Island , on Nov. 24, 1943, he is honored with a Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with Star and the WWII Victory Medal.

 

Earl is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial  Manila, Metro
