The Imperial Japanese began their Invasion in the Philippines on 8 Dec 1941.

The Medical Department resorted to fighting together among American and Filipino forces when compelled to surrender on 9 Apr 1942.

Sergeant Alexander became a POW and was imprisoned at Pow Camp no record, he survived the Bataan Death March, but died shortly after it.

Granville is born in 1920 in Llano, Texas.

 Granville enlisted the service in Texas with service number # 18021137.

Granville died as a POW on July 4, 1942, he is honored with a POW Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

Granville  is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial  Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
