The Philipinne Motor Depot resorted to fighting together among American and Filipino forces when compelled to surrender on 9 Apr 1942.

Capt. Joseph A. Adams became a POW and was imprisoned at Pow Camp Cabanatuan, he survived the Bataan Death March, but died shortly after it.

 

Joseph was born  in 1899 in Monaca,  Pennsylvania.

 

Father, Joseph A. Adams, Mother, Cora (Flowers) Adams.

Wife, Elizabeth E. (Busang) Adams, Son, Robert L. Adams.

 

Joseph entered  the Service from Pennsylvania with service number # o-290240.

 

Joseph died in Camp Cabanatuan as a POW on Sept. 17, 1942, he is honored with a  Purple Heart, POW Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.
