Grady survived the Crash, plane aborted the mission, got lost and run out of fuel so crashed on 3 Dec. 1942,  he is honored with a Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, Army Aviator Badge, American Campaign Medal, Army Presidential Unit Citation, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, WW II Victory Medal.

 

Grady is buried at Baas Memorial Cemetery, Frisco City, Monroe County, Alabama, USA.
